No matter what you know about France in late summer or surfing in general, this pack list will help you to prepare for our adventure in France.
Surfwear
Around that time of the year the water temperature is about 18 degrees celsius. Your vision of surfing in a tiny bikini might not come true at that point. The surf school we work with provides you with wetsuit, booties and if necessary gloves. That prevents you from getting a rash or a sunburn. Two things you really want try to avoid. No matter the wetsuit, you’ll need a bikini or a swimsuit. Luckily the bikini doesn’t need to be a special surf bikini, as the wetsuit keeps everything in place anyways. No flashing your intimate parts by accident. So take what you feel most comfortable with and what you would like to wear on a sunny day on the beach as well.
Bikini.
Swimsuit.
One piece.
Clothes
As we have temperatures between 15 – 25 degrees celsius in September you want to be prepared. Especially when you get out of the water after a two hour surf class when the wind is blowing. Think comfortable, cozy and functional.
Flip Flops for the warm sunny beach days.
Sneakers or running shoes for our excursion to the Dune du Pilat. Also if the weather turns out to be a bit colder you might like to wear proper shoes instead of Flip Flops.
Sunglasses to protect your eyes from getting more wrinkles than necessary.
Light clothes for a warm and sunny day. Think short, t-shirt, dress whatever you feel most comfortable with.
Warmer clothes for the evenings or a cloudy day. Think long pants, sweater, long cardigan. We always recommend to pack a rain jacket or wind stopper as it is usually pretty breezy. As I am a little fashionista by heart, I love to mix fashion with function – a cozy oversized cashmere sweater with a waterproof and breathable jacket from Patagonia.
Comfortable clothes for your daily Yoga class.Included in your package is one pair of Monique Rotteveel Yoga leggings. Her leggings are light and breathable and perfect for warm weather. Depending on the weather we will have yoga classes outside in the morning. A thicker pair of leggings, a sweater and a pair of fluffy socks will keep you warm and cozy during your meditation.
Beach Essentials
