The retreat

Blue hour is the period of twilight in the morning, when the sun is still below the horizon and the indirect sunlight paints the world blue. For us, it is the hour of change, the hour of not yet seeing clearly, still waiting for the sun to rise. It is the hour of excitement, awaiting adventures yet to come. Blue hour is the hour of inspiration, tainting the sky in shades of yellow, orange, red and purple. Most importantly, it is the hour to roll out your mat or go for a surf.

The workshop encourages you to truly discover what moves you, inspires your soul, and what you deeply crave in life. We will challenge you to overcome fears, negative core beliefs and to get to know your full potential. You will realize that you are capable and worthy of creating the kind of life for yourself that makes you jump out of bed every morning.

Surfing is like nothing else. It will challenge your body and your mind, and at the same time push your limits as you overcome your fears . Surfing is therapy. It is liberating and exciting to catch waves. It will leave you breathless with a smile on your face. Whether you are a beginner, always wanted to surf, or have been in the water a couple of times, our surf instructors will help you to improve and laugh out loud at the same time.

Yoga/Meditation is a way for you to develop present moment awareness, to be able to still your mind, and focus on what is really important in your life. Our goal is to help you build strength through daily practice as well as to be more in tune with your own body. We will flow through different poses  giving you the tools and techniques to deal with stress in a calmer and more graceful approach.

Food is not only what fuels our bodies and keeps us healthy and strong, it is also the cherry on the cake on an already perfect day.
It is our belief that to live a healthy life, we must feed our body in a responsible and thoughtful way. Our goal is to serve you mouthwatering meals with fresh and local ingredients, without sugar or heavy carbohydrates to boost your bodies energy and clean it at the same time. Your body will feel lighter and your skin will look clearer at the end of the week.

Dairy or meat is optional, so let us know in advance of any special diets you are following and we will adjust your meal plan accordingly.

A unique location

Cap Ferret is located in France, 1 hour from Bordeaux Airport, on the Atlantic coast . It is a sleepy fishing town on a Peninsula surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean and a tidal lake. Due to this unique location, it offers white and wild sandy beaches, with different surf spots for beginners and intermediates alike.  It also offers a calm lakeside where the town of Cap Ferret is located. This is where fishermen sell their daily catch of Oysters and Shrimps in little huts.

It is a perfect place to explore Dune du Pilat, the biggest moving sand dune in Europe.

The Villa is a 10 minutes walk out of town and 10 minutes away from the beach (Villa, see pictures below).

For whom

If you are women between 25 –90 years of age, open minded, ambitious, passionate, active and interested in connecting with other like-minded women, ready to challenge yourself, looking to challenge yourself and experience life to the fullest, then book with us and prepare to feel flow, and grow.

If you are searching for a surf camp to improve your skills to an advanced level, there are better suited programs out there for you. At Blu Hour Retreat we are more focused on the coaching experience and the benefits of surfing as opposed to the technical skill development of surfing.

If you are searching for a Spa or Wellness Retreat with the aim to relax and unwind, we are most likely not what you are searching for either.
